 UNBELIEVABLE!

 

Hello LWA Seekers of Greater Well-BEing!

 

UNBELIEVABLE! That’s the POWER within us to elevate our health and happiness to levels we never imagined. Why is it “unbelievable”? Because we don’t “BELIEVE” it! We haven’t IMAGINED it as possible. Albert Einstein stated his IMAGINATION was more important than his gift for absorbing knowledge. What, imagination more important than knowledge? Yes! Knowledge is Power, but SELF-Knowledge is SELF-POWER – understanding ourselves and the power within all of us.

 

The Keys to “KNOW THYSELF!”

Step 1: I need to focus on ME, not them.

It’s easy for us to center our thoughts on what others are doing or not doing that may be worrying or upsetting us, focusing our thinking on what “they” should change to make us happy. “THEY” are not under our control. Instead, let’s concentrate on what WE can do to be healthier and happier i.e. what IS under our control. The possibilities are so numerous, we’ll never be able to do them all! 

 

Whenever we find ourselves stressed, worried, upset at some person or event, let’s STOP. Don’t focus on that person or event but rather our REACTION to that person or event. By pausing and becoming AWARE of our automatic, programmed responses from our subconscious mind, we STOP the program – the Stress Program, the Worry Program. We are now CONSCIOUS of the programming – the usual automated thinking, feeling, and acting that occurs when similar events happen leading to the same response. 

What we are AWARE of we can change!  We are not just automatically REACTING to life events, we are pausing and choosing our next step by choice. Doing so, we are CREATING our new, improved world. HOW? With higher quality thoughts (beliefs), we have improved feelings and actions. We don’t have the ultimate power over what others do, the traffic situation, how hot it’s going to be today, the difficulties that may arise at work, what the stock market does, whether our family members, friends, coworkers, students, or patients do what we wish they would do.  We DO have power over how we react to every person, situation, or event when we realize we can change our programming.

 

Step 2: I need to upgrade my BS (Belief System)!

We must BELIEVE the amazing POWER of our recurring thoughts, our beliefs, and become AWARE of our SELF-Limiting Belief System (SLBS). We all have them. Self-limiting beliefs can fall into 5 categories:

  • I’m not good enough. I’ve tried everything. It’s just not possible, too difficult, not true.
  • I don’t have enough ______ (money, time, friends, talent, energy, willpower, etc).
  • I’m not appreciated by ______ (my family, friends, coworkers, boss, church, etc).
  • Things have happened, are happening, or will happen to me. I’m a victim of ________.
  • I have failed at ____________ (losing weight, getting in shape, lowering stress, a key relationship, my work, improving an aspect of my health, elevating my career, getting out of debt, saving money, being a good parent, etc.)

 

These negative thoughts CREATE our reality, our misery, our world. It’s impossible for us to elevate our well-being when negative, self-limiting beliefs are running the show. If we question these negative beliefs, we are on the road to GREATNESS. Realize they are just beliefs, our BS (belief system). If our thoughts rule our lives, which they do, then we have the POWER to change our beliefs and thus change our lives – and the world. To quote a famous book: QUESTION EVERYTHING. RETAIN WHAT IS GOOD, WHAT IS TRUE.

 

Where would your life be if these were your RECURRING thoughts / beliefs?

  • I’m good enough. I am amazing! Anything is possible. I can handle this. I got this.
  • I have everything I need to take my life to the next level. There are countless possibilities for me to be healthier and happier. I will take action today and ____________.
  • I am unconditionally loved by a Higher Power. I am an extension of that Power, of that love. I am LOVE. I will unconditionally love others to have the life of peace and joy I desire.
  • Things have happened, are happening, and will happen for me. Everything happens for a reason. I am where I am supposed to be right now. I will search for the gifts, opportunities, and possibilities in every situation that has happened, is happening, or will happen. I am victorious!
  • I have not failed. I am a life-long learner. Failure does not exist.

 

What if these were our recurring thoughts / beliefs? WOW! What if we thought and BELIEVED them every day? The result: we are installing a new program into our brain’s circuitry. Our subconscious mind would become automatically programmed for greater health, happiness, abundance, peace, and joy. We are creating our new world as the person we were created to BE. It’s BELIEVABLE! To BE it, you must SEE it and BELIEVE it. 

 

BEWARE! Your programmed Ego will tell you otherwise and have you “believe” this way of looking at life is not possible, not believable, nonsense. Why? That’s what we have been taught to believe since we were born. We think it’s the truth. Our subconscious mind is running negative, self-limiting, harmful programs of victimhood, shame, blame, guilt, inadequacy, failure, grief, stress, even depression. They’re programs! Question them. This is NOT God’s will for us. Search for the TRUTH. We need to upgrade our thinking with new, improved default pathways being superhighways of PEACE, JOY, ABUNDANCE, EMPATHY, UNDERSTANDING, FORGIVENESS, WHOLENESS. It takes SELF-awareness. It takes living well AWARE!
