The DEFAULT Mode

 

Hello LWA Seekers of Greater Well-BEing!

 

Have you ever wondered why you do the same things, react the same way to similar situations, often NOT in your best interest or that of others? 

  • Your family member / partner / friend / coworker does the same annoying thing – again – and you get frustrated, maybe even angry - again.
  • You find yourself thinking, and maybe even telling others, the SAME story – again - that occurred years, maybe even decades ago when you were a child, of some negative, even traumatic event in your life.
  • You mean to eat healthier, eat less, not drink alcohol, but you’re at another event and there’s the food and the alcohol, and you go for it.  Why not? Everyone else is.
  • You find yourself worried, stressed over an event that has happened, is happening, or might happen.

 

Why do we allow ourselves to have the SAME negative emotions, tell the SAME story over and over and over as if it happened yesterday, do the SAME things that are harming our health, get the SAME feelings of stress?

 

Two REASONS:

  1. It could be we don’t fully understand the tremendous impact of our feelings and actions on our health. Our thinking RULES our emotions, our behaviors, and thus all aspects of our well-being.
  2. We don’t understand that our beliefs are “programs” that have been installed in our brain’s subconscious mind (put there by other people throughout our lives), and they are running automatically under the radar. We are NOT in control because we are not conscious, not aware of the programs running our lives.

 

Our thinking, feelings, and actions are on DEFAULT MODE. The majority of what we believe, do, and feel every day are automated programs in our subconscious mind. We do them automatically without thinking, without analyzing, without questioning. We are NOT living well because we are not AWARE!

 

The ANSWER:

  1. We must know and BELIEVE that we have a CHOICE. EVERYONE has a choice – no matter the circumstance, prior upbringing, our health status, our age, our socioeconomic status, or what everyone else is doing. To THINK, FEEL, and ACT at a higher level we must construct improved DEFAULT programs based on knowing there are wiser, healthier choices available to ALL of us. HOW? 
  2. We must ask ourselves: Do I passionately want a life of abundance? Importantly, each of us has to individually DEFINE what ABUNDANCE means. Is abundance optimal physical health, uplifting relationships, vibrancy, peace (being able to handle ANY situation without stress, frustration, self-pity), independence (physically and financially), humility, service, a life lead by the Divine. OR, is abundance excessive food (more than we need to have an ideal body), excessive alcohol (a proven inflammatory disease and cancer producer), the next food/alcohol-laden vacation to wherever, having more money than “others”, being “righteous”.  

 

Let’s all strive for a life of abundance, but first, clearly define it - not only for ourselves but to lift others to an abundant life. This can’t be understated! When you envision your life of abundance, you are beginning to automatically change the default programs in your brain. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU VISUALIZE! You will be programmed to go after it. Visualize GREATNESS!

 

To have the new improved healthy programs of abundant well-being run automatically as the Default Modes, we must repeatedly envision our abundant life. By BElieving we can have a life of abundance, we will automatically BEhave differently, and BEcome abundant! Folks, this is the way our brain works! We run the abundant programs over and over and over first by changing our BS (BElief System). If the “old” program leading to unhealthiness and unhappiness starts to run (You know, the stress, anger, self-pity story, unhealthy craving program), you STOP and tell yourself: NO! I want my abundant life program of peace, joy, health, vibrancy, _________ (fill in the blank with YOUR abundant life). This new life of abundancy that is visualized and acted upon will eventually become the DEFAULT MODE, running unconsciously. It’s the NEW YOU, the REAL YOU, the ABUNDANT YOU. Thinking not necessary.  Sacrifice not necessary. Willpower not necessary. It’s who YOU are. It’s what YOU do. And, it’s continually evolving. I keep upgrading my Default Mode programs. There’s NO END to the countless ways we can elevate our well-being: physically, emotionally, socially, financially, spiritually.

BEWARE: People will notice. They may applaud you, be inspired by you, want to know how you are making such amazing changes. OR, they may be intimated, not want to be around you. That’s NOT UP TO YOU! Your job is to create YOUR abundant life, not do what everyone else is doing. Let’s face it. Do you want to be like most people?

 

Let’s STOP walking around UNCONSCIOUS of harmful programming! Let’s become AWARE of those destructive default programs that need to be eliminated, choosing a better option and creating default programs for abundance. HOW do we do this effectively, efficiently, and effortlessly? There is a method to upgrade the programs running our lives. First and foremost, let’s all travel life’s journey with knowledgeable people and like-minded individuals who also want an abundant life. JOIN the Living WELL Aware community!
